Winter Break Fun

I love Winter break! It is so nice to have so much time to spend with Peyton. In fact I barely let her out of my sight. On one of the days off we all headed into Vegas.

First we went to Red Robin because I was starving. Peyton loved the ice cream as you can see.

After that we did some shopping, then we took her to the Las Vegas Outlet mall to ride the carousel. She just learned how to do a "cheesy smile". So cute. It was a great day.

Bonnie Springs

We went to Bonnie Springs on Labor Day. Peyton had such a great time. She loved the train ride, seeing all the cowboys, and the animals at the petting zoo. It was a great family day! We will have to go again sometime.

Summer Get Away

Kris and I went on our first vacation since we had the baby. We wanted to stay close to home so we decided to go to an Angel's game in Anaheim. We had a lot of fun cheering for the Angels even though they didn't win. After that we took a short detour to the beach.
The next day we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. The rides seemed scarier then I remembered. I was scared to go on some, but I did it anyways. I have never screamed so hard. I even think Kris was scared on a couple of them.
The next morning Kris and I got up earily and rushed home to see Peyton. Thanks grandparents for taking such good care of her while we were gone!

Got Milk?

Grandpa Philpot decided that Peyton needed to learn a very important life skill: How to eat an Oreo. She learned how to dunk her cookie in the milk, eat it, and even finger paint with it. Thanks Grandpa!

Grandpa Moose was a wonderful man. I feel very blessed to have had him in my life. I want to thank you grandpa for everything you taught me. You were a great example of being honest and working hard. I know you are in a better place now, and I'm glad you get to be with your family. I'll see you in heaven someday. I love you.

I honestly can't believe that it's been a year since Peyton has been born. I've loved every minute of being her mother. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I know that Kris and I have been blessed. Our live is an adventure, and we love having her with us.

Birthday Time

We celebrated Peyton's first birthday on May 15th. We were lucky to have my sister Melanie and her family here from Alabama. Her son Kaden's birthday is on the 31st, so we celebrated his birthday too. We had a lot of fun celebrating with our family. The cousins had a great time with eachother. They loved the pinata. A big thanks to all our family. We love and appreciate you.

Peyton Loving Life

UNLV Graduation

Kris Graduated from UNLV on May 8th. It was a very exciting day for our family. We were happy to share the excitment and fun with family. Thanks to his parents and my parents for coming. Thanks to Kenzie and Carter too! In fact I wouldn't have made it through the commencement ceremony without them. Although it was fun watching Kris walk across the stage, it wasn't as fun watching the other 2,900 people do it too. So Kenzie, Carter and I alternated phones and played games for about 3 hours while we waited for Kris' turn.
After that we all went to Olive Garden to celebrate. All in all it was a great day, and I am so happy for Kris!

Can she get any cuter?

Last Sunday Peyton got her first pony tail. She wouldn't sit still (of course), so Kris had to hold her head with his hands. This made her very mad. Good thing she is so cute!

Peyton Update

Life has been going by so fast. Peyton is nine months old now. I keep asking myself how that happened. She is now an expert crawler, and goes anywhere she likes. She is very interested in everything and has to check it out. She is pulling herself up and walking around things. Her favorite is to walk around our coffee table. Every time she makes it around she looks at me with a big grin on her face. I think she wants to say, "Look at me mommy, I am so big."

Kris and I took Peyton to the park a few days ago. I'm not sure who had more fun, but we all had a great time being a family.

December Craziness

I love December. It is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. This December was especially great because we have Peyton to share everything with. Kris and I tried not to go crazy and buy her everything, but it was hard. I have to be careful when I go into Carters, Baby Gap, The Children’s Place, etc. because it’s very easy to spend money in those stores. Everything is just so cute!

We had a nice Christmas. Of course Peyton would have been happy with just playing with the wrapping paper, but it was fun watching her play with her presents too. It was nice visiting with family.

Another reason why I love December so much is because it is my birthday month. This year we went all out and celebrated my birthday by getting a suite at The Hotel by Mandalay Bay and tickets to The Lion King. The show was amazing. I would recommend it to everyone.
December 2009 was great, hello 2010!
